Wildberries Warehouse
Existing process
The warehouse has a stationary (attached to a computer) barcode scanner. The warehouse worker receives the items packed in bags. They scan packages of goods and puts them in cells so that couriers can pick them up later.
Problem
Items sorters made many mistakes, sorting goods almost automatically. They could scan three products in a row and go to lay them out and, as a result, mix up their cells. And they didn’t bother to double-check which packet corresponded to which cell. The warehouse manager had to redo the work for them. Almost 30% of the goods were placed in the wrong cells.
Task
Reduce the load on the memory of warehouse staff during work.
Solution
Develop a mobile application that will scan the barcode on the package and show which cell to put the goods in.
Outcome
After the introduction of a mobile breakwater, goods were laid out much more accurately. The number of errors has been reduced to 5% from 30%.
